“Filmography” in “Main Street Movies”
FILMOGRAPHY
Thousands of local films were produced in the United States in the twentieth century. I have included complete filmographies for the companies and titles discussed in detail in this book, with two exceptions—Arthur J. Higgins and Melton Barker, as substantial filmographies for both can be found elsewhere.1 In cases where many films had the same title, or the title is unknown, I include it at the beginning of the filmography and list productions by city, separated by a semicolon, with the production year in parentheses. All films that are underlined are extant.
